The Soundstorm festival in Riyadh plays in a league of its own: the largest music festival in the Middle East, with hundreds of thousands of visitors, several stages, international headliners and a main stage whose sheer scale brings architectural challenges.

The brief
The gigantic main stage in Riyadh is not just a visual highlight but above all an architectural feat. Lighting, video, audio and show effects merge into one enormous suspended load. For the rigging, that means massive loads, tightly interlocking interfaces and a tight load-in window in which every hour counts.
On top of that came the conditions on site: in extreme heat, dust and wind, the loads for lighting, sound and video had to be brought safely into the structure. The standard stays uncompromising all the same: safety and documentation at the highest international level.
The execution
With an experienced crew of riggers, SilverBones was an integral part of the international production team. Our crew handled the complete installation, the briefings and the daily safety checks.
The result
The main stage went into operation on time, ran absolutely safely throughout the festival and remained serviceable at all times.
A project that shows: no matter how big the setting, in the end it comes down to precise craftsmanship, experience, a well-rehearsed team and absolute safety.
